1 Creative Commons Festival

# Open Creative Commons Greece @ FROWN! The 1 Creative Commons Festival of Athens with the support of the Hellenic Football Federation

1 Creative Commons FestivalThe Internet is a news of work for musicians, artists, visual artists and academics not specified now only by them traditional Intellectual Property rules and the boundaries of the material world. Technological developments have always influenced society and shaped the law. The complexity of traditional copyright law, an obstacle to the ideal of creativity cooperation and free distribution, does not apply to the Internet, which has led to phenomena of piracy and general uncertainty about what is happening "out there". The Open Source Movement, which is not related to software issues alone, promotes the legality, openness, sharing and reuse of code, content, i.e. texts, music, movies, information, , records and knowledge and introduces us to a world that operates and acts based on a different value system.

The Copyright rule automatically grants the author exclusive rights to the work, such as reproducing, distributing and editing (otherwise) "All rights reserved". However, many creators do not realize that they are the only and first owners of their creation and what rights they have on it. What was lacking was the legal but also a technological tool for the creator to legitimately distribute his work as he chose. This tool is Creative Commons licenses.

The social and economic value of Content Sharing with Open Licenses is now a fact. In content training openly licensed it significantly reduces costs compared to traditional instructional manuals. In science and medicine, open access to research can save lives and encourage efforts to solve problems so far. At governmental and philanthropic level, where money from citizens' taxation and donations made to public works and public good works, open licensing ensures that the results of these investments become freely available to the public and can be re-used. In large sites, the incorporation of Creative Commons licenses enables everyone to participate and collaborate in the creation of culture and culture, to offer the improvement and further processing of educational material, photos, music and movies.

In Greece, the use of Creative Commons licenses has been recognized by the Greek courts by 2007 at its own initiative Open Source Software / Open Source Software (ITC / LAC)and has grown widely from government to education and culture. It is noted that the information of the public on issues of Intellectual Property, Digitization and Distribution is incomplete to the Greek public, but on the other hand there is great creativity and content production by Greek artists, artists, artists,
