Microsoft is stopping Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 patches but 0Patch will continue to support them for at least 2 more years.

But along the way ways were revealed for the inexpensive installation of these patches and on home devices running Windows 7. The last security update will be released for Windows 7 in January 2023. Microsoft has already announced that it will not extend support beyond the three years it promised, except for Server 2008 R2 where they will support it for a fee for just one more year.
Windows 7's usage share has dropped significantly since the end of 2019 its free support has expired. Most users have replaced it with Windows 10, however there are still a respectable number of devices running the classic operating system.
The void comes to fill the 0Patch company which announced this week that it will provide the service micro-patching until at least January 2025 for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 devices. The company will produce security patches for "critical vulnerabilities that are likely to be exploited."
The service has a cost, but it's cheaper than what Microsoft charged for ESU updates. The Pro and Enterprise plans are available for €24,95 or €34,95 per year. Both programs include patches for Microsoft Office 2010 as well.
Devices running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 that have not been updated since 2020 can enroll in 0Patch and will receive all micro patches released by the company as of 2020 and all future updates. A total of 52 critical security issues have been patched by the company since 2020.
You must remember that 0Patch only focuses on critical patches, but considering that there is no other available choice, can be a good investment.
