Microsoft released quite a bit builds through the Windows Insider program before the final release of the new Windows 10 operating system a few months ago. To be precise, the term final version no longer applies since the operating system is released as Windows as a service.
Sources near Microsoft report that since the beginning of November, the company plans to release Windows 10 Fall Update (Autumn Update). Even with the WinBeta, the update will be released on November 2.
The new updated operating system, formerly referred to as Threshold R2, will bring improvements to existing features as well as new features in the operating system.
Rumors have suggested that the upcoming update will be able to be installed on any version of Windows 10 through Windows Update and will come under the name "Windows 10 November 2015".
What will include Windows Update in November?
- Start tiles will support jumplists.
- Its tiles desktop they will have their own color and can appear in groups of three or four.
- Additional features in Cortana: inked notes, movie tracking and ticketed event, missed calls, energy savings, message syncing and call history.
- Microsoft Edge will also come with upgrades: improved HTML5 and CSS3 support, ECMAScript support 6 and 7, pre-review tabs, favorites, sync list, F12 tools, search engine setup directly from the search window.
- Locate your device with GPS.
- Deny apps from accessing the record calls, and e-mails sent
- New apps by default: Skype videos, messages, Phone, Sway.
- All embedded applications are updated in the latest versions.
- Improved memory management
- New Window Environmental Variables
- Windows 10 can now be activated with a key from Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 during or even after installation.
Major corrections
- Applications can be installed in other drives.
- Select to set where offline maps are stored.
- The color is determined by Personalization and now affects the title bars.
- Improved – more consistent – appearance of it context menu
- Improved dark and light theme
- Cortana support for local accounts.
- The Start menu supports up to 2048 tiles after updating, not just 512
- Control Panel Settings have returned to the state they were in Windows 8.1, giving you more options.
If you are subscribed to Windows Insider, you may have already noticed some of the above fixes and updates. From all the above we can say that many users will welcome the update with open arms.
A feature will be absent. Support for Edge extensions, probably coming shortly before 2016, or early 2016.
