Elon Musk deleted Facebook pages with 5 million followers

Elon Musk today ordered SpaceX staff to delete the them on Facebook. Later, other pages of Musk's companies followed, such as the page of Tesla and SolarCity.

All together, Elon Musk's pages had over 5 million registered friends.

The move took place in less than an hour, in response to a challenge from a Twitter user.Elon Musk

Musk's move follows Mozilla's announcement on Wednesday and reports stopping Facebook ads.

Of course, as you already know, these are reactions after the revelations about the scandal Cambridge Analytica.

Although Mozilla and Elon Musk seem to have taken drastic anti-Facebook measures, too many companies do not delete their Facebook pages and stop advertising through the largest social network.

The movement #deletefacebook

Let's remind that last Friday, after the unexpected revelations from the media, Facebook deleted SCL Group and Cambridge Analytica from its platform.

Later it was learned that companies used Facebook data to create 50 psychological profiles of millions of social network users from 2015.

After the revelations, even co of WhatsApp, Brian Acton, invited those who follow him to delete their Facebook accounts.

In response to the scandal, the company's CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted that trust between Facebook and users has been lost, and that the company is preparing a series of changes to the application platform, which will stop access to by third parties.

But don't expect miracles: Facebook, like the relies on data collection. So it would be good not to expect too much after Zuckerberg's promises.

They can stop the "uncontrollable" to third parties, but what do they do with the data they collect themselves?
