Edge Chromium also comes with Linux systems

Yes Edge and for Linux: As you may already know, the app Microsoft Edge based on Chromium is currently available in all modern versions of Windows (from Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and ) but also on MacOS systems.

But the development team of the program seems to be trying to release a version for Linux systems as well.

Edge Chromium

Sean Larkin, Program Manager on the Edge browser team, made one Publication on Twitter, calling them out to participate in a Linux survey. The survey includes a question about how users expect to install it Edge browsing.

Formerly the had mentioned that a Linux version of the browser would be released, but we haven't heard anything since.

If you're a Linux user and want to get Microsoft's Linux browser, you can join the survey.

The new Edge is already available on all channels (Beta, Dev and Canary) for all currently supported operating systems.

The release date of the Linux release is not yet known.
