In Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2014) Apple today announced the long-awaited iOS 8 which comes with several improvements and new features, something one would expect from the Cupertino company. The beta version is already available for developers.
The company introduced iOS 8 as its biggest release since the launch of the App Store and announced that the new operating system aims to give users a more intuitive experience with iCloud Photo Library, new messaging features that can now be voice shared, video or also photos.
IOS 8 also brings QuickType to Apple's smart keypad, Family Sharing, and the new iCloud Drive, which will make iCloud even usable as our well-known Dropbox.
Craig Federighi, senior vice president of Apple Software Engineering, said: "iOS 8 offers a simpler, faster and smarter way to use your device with incredible new features, such as iCloud Photo Library, a new messaging app. the QuickType keyboard and a brand new Health app. ”
“We also offer developers some great news tools to make managing apps on your devices a complete, simple and secure experience," Federighi added.
IOS 8 as we mentioned above is readily available for developers in beta (for everyone else, patience), and will be released to the audience this autumn along with the launch of the new iPhone 6. Supports devices from iPhone 4S onwards, iPad 2 and later, and iPod touch fifth generation.
