In his letter to NASA, Dexter was really sad about being too young for a trip to the Red Planet. "Dear NASA," Dexter wrote. "I have heard that you will send two people to Mars and I would like to come, but I am only 7 and a half."
NASA's Office of Communications - which deserves congratulations for responding normally to children's cute letters - sent Dexter a letter encouraging him to follow his dreams. The letter also contained more information about Mars, badges and photos, which Dexter's mom posted on Reddit.
