Mozilla AppDay hackathon on 27 November in Kerameikos

27 in November is coming App Day hackathon by the Mozilla Foundation. Includes tutorials for the exploitation of Web technologies in developing applications for Firefox OS on smartphones. There will be a competition and awards for the best apps. The App Day hackathon program is as follows

Alexandros Davos - Retail Marketing Director and Commercial Purchasing & Supply Director, OTE Group

He is a graduate of The American College of Greece, Deree College, and holds a master's degree from Nottingham Business School - Nottingham Trend University (MBA).
He has participated in numerous seminars and workshops in Greece and abroad as well as has a continuous & active participation as a speaker in seminars and workshops on Marketing, Retailing and Customer experience.

At the beginning of his career he worked in the largest multinational companies in the fields of merchandising and sales (3E Coca Cola, PANASONIC-INTERTECH, ELGEKA etc. 01/1994 - 06/1999). In marketing he worked from 6/1999 to 9/2009 in companies such as SCHWARZKOFF & RILKEN SA, FRIESLAND HELLAS AEBE, GERMANOS SA, COSMOTE SA as Product Manager, Senior Brand Manager and Marketing Manager.

From 9 / 2009 he is Market Manager for GERMANOS and Retail Marketing at OTE Group.

Today he holds the position of Retail Marketing Director and Commercial Purchasing & Supply Director at OTE GROUP.

John Bernard - Global Marketing Director for Firefox OS, Mozilla

John Bernard is the Global Marketing Director of Firefox OS for Mozilla. John is responsible for the launch of Firefox OS with carriers and mobile phone manufacturers and already in 2013 he has overseen promotional campaigns that have run in 11 countries. Previously, he held senior marketing positions at companies such as Sony Ericsson and LG , λανσάροντας handsets και υπηρεσίες και αναπτύσσοντας brands και μερίδια αγοράς παγκοσμίως. With over 10 years of experience in the field of Information Technology, Frédéric Harper started out as a developer on various technologies and with main subject of web and mobile development. He devoted a few years to spreading Microsoft Openness by talking about Open Source Software, Internet Standards, and Interoperability. Today, as one of Mozilla's Senior Technical Evangelist, Fred continues to spread his passion for Open Internet while also supporting developers to effectively manage Firefox OS.

Luka Sucic – Business Manager & Evangelist, hub:raum

Ο Luka έχει εκτεταμένη εμπειρία σε start-ups, στην ανάπτυξη εφαρμογών για φορητές συσκευές και στο e-commerce. Πριν να συνεργαστεί με την hub:raum, o Luka δούλευε στο τμήμα καινοτομίας της Croatia Telekom πάνω σε έργα IPTV, OTT καθώς και στην αναζήτηση νέων έργων τηλεπικοινωνιών. Λειτουργεί ως σύμβουλος και λέκτορας στον τομέα της ανάπτυξης mobile και digital έργων βοηθώντας start-ups να πραγματοποιήσουν τις ιδέες τους και να επιτύχουν επιχειρηματικά. Ο Luka εκπροσωπεί την hub:raum Krakow σε events αλλά και σε άλλους ενδιαφερόμενους, και παράλληλα εμπλέκεται στη διαδικασία επιλογής των start-ups. Dr. Martin Kurze – Director & Innovation, Terminals, Deutsche Telekom

Ο Martin Kurze είναι υπεύθυνος για την Έρευνα και Ανάπτυξη των Terminals στα εργαστήρια Research and Innovation Unit T-Labs της Deutsche Telekom. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό είναι επικεφαλής πολυάριθμων έργων κατασκευής και έρευνας με αντικείμενο τα λειτουργικά συστήματα, τις πλατφόρμες χρηστών και τους μηχανισμούς λειτουργικού για συσκευές. Today, his roles revolve around the development of Mozilla Firefox OS (formerly known as Boot-to-Gecko / B2G) on behalf of DT. In this context, he leads an international team of researchers and engineers from different disciplines and has undertaken the construction of the new operating system for mobile devices as well as some applications for this.

Prior to his collaboration with T-Labs, Martin Kurze was a team leader at T-Systems, T-Nova and other companies active in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). His professional interests revolve around systems architecture, human-computer interaction, the search for new technologies, business development and strategy in the context of .

Martin Kurze holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Free University of Berlin, where he also received a degree in Chemistry. He lives in Berlin with his wife and is a proud father of three children.

Christoph Schmitz - Head of Software & Integration Management, Deutsche Telekom

Christoph Schmitz is here and 6 has been head of a team at Deutsche Telekom's Terminal Product Management for software, specifications, and ecosystems. Within the framework of his responsibilities, Christoph was the one who started the collaboration between Firefox OS and Mozilla in the autumn of 2011. At the moment, he manages launch of Firefox OS in Europe for DT.

Christoph has been with the Deutsche Telekom Group since 1995. Having started his career as a technician at T-Mobile System Technology, he then held various management positions within the Daimler and Telecom joint venture where he offered Telecommunications and IT services. Since 2004, Christoph has been working as head of product management teams at T-Mobile International at Telecom headquarters respectively. He was actively involved in online initiatives such as DT's web'n'walk (paving the way for the company towards mobile internet) as well as in various smartphone ecosystem launches, more specifically the iPhone (2007), G1-Android (2008), Windows Phone 7 (2010) and now Firefox OS.

Christoph Schmitz is a graduate in Electrical Engineering from the University of Aachen and on behalf of which he did his thesis at the École Nationale Supérieure des Télé (today's Telekom Paris Tech) in Paris.

Panos Astithas - Firefox Engineer, Developer Tools Team

Panos Asttias is a Mozilla software engineer for Firefox tools for developers. He has worked for over 15 years as a senior developer with an emphasis on development and architecture in various companies. With a range of activity from back-end and front-end platform development to PC and mobile applications, Panos is always looking for new challenges and new areas of activity. By contributing to open software for many years, he has been trying to serve and inspire as many people as possible. He holds a PhD from the Athens Polytechnic with a specialization in computer network security.

Dimitris Kalavros-Gousiou is a young businessman and a strong supporter of technology. He is widely known as the Founder and Curator of TEDxAthens.

He has studied Law at the University of Kent while continuing his studies at Queen Mary University of London, specializing in Internet Law and Telecommunications.

Dimitris has founded it Away.gr (Online Media for Technology and Entrepreneurship, now a member of Nest Media), TEDxAthens (Platform of events and other actions aimed at disseminating innovative ideas), while collaborating with TechCrunch Europe, in which he writes articles for Greek technology companies. In the summer of 2012, together with Sofia Belouka and Thodoris Georgakopoulos, a digital media startup, Nest Media, started.

He is also a graduate of the International Visitor Leadership Program of the US Department of State. 2013 and a member of the World Economic Forum of the World Economic Forum and the Sandbox Network.

From June of 2011 until September of 2013, he collaborated with the German technology investment company HackFwd, from the role of Referrer for Greece and Southeastern Europe. Since March of 2013, he is co-founder of Found.ation, a technology co-operative space in the center of Athens, dealing with new entrepreneurship.
