The teachers at USA (αλλά στην Ευρώπη) σε μεγάλο βαθμό επιλέγουν και συστήνουν στους schoolchildren their Chromebooks instead of MacBooks of Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), as well as Android tablets, according to a new survey.
According to a survey of the company NPD Group, its low-cost Chromebook computers Google surpassed Apple MacBooks in sales, thanks to the growth that came from the education sector.
"Governments or IT departments are not running to buy these products - which is not impressive," said Tim Bajarin, president of Creative Strategies.
Apple's MacBook and iPad sales declined this year, as competition from Android and Google Chrome has grown considerably, while Chromebooks and Android tablets are the biggest commercial growth they have ever had after selling 1.760.000 units in compared with just 400.000 units 2012.
But the reason is not only that:
"Some organizations are looking for low-cost devices that have a strong connection to Google services, such as Google Docs and Drive," he told Mashable ο Stephen baker, Vice President for Industry Analyst at NPD. "Along with the form and price factor, Chromebooks are the most exciting choice for students and businesses as they are complete laptops."
Microsoft Windows tablets had an increase in sales and this naturally affected Apple's sales.
Chromebooks accounted for 9,6% of the laptop and tablet market from January to November of 2013, compared to just one 0,2% that was in the 2012 period.
