A resident from Houston, Texas, 41, was arrested when the Google he informed the police that he had detected images of child sexual abuse in his e-mail.
John Henry Skillern, was known to the authorities by 1994 as he was convicted of a sexual assault. On Tuesday, July 29 was arrested again for possession of child pornography material and the promotion of child pornography.
A research in his home and equipment, revealed numerous images of child abuse, e-mails with messages that proved his pedophile tendencies, cell phone videos of children visiting the store where he worked as a cook.
The investigation was apparently triggered by a Google complaint at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children when child images were found in an e-mail message to the accused.
Though the story had a very good result, with the arrest of the pedophile, but rather it raises a lot of concerns.
There will be some who see it as yet another indication of how Big Brothers state-owned technology corporations and corporate giants have nothing better to do than hide the privacy of all of us and look for dirt.
Of course there are those who use such news to justify governments and companies by promoting the work they produce. This ambivalence of public opinion leaves room for the rampant espionage actions that have been published in recent years.
