A new attempt to deceive users occurred at Facebook. The message appears on the victim's timeline prompting his friends to click on the link.
The victim is asked to click on the link below that leads to a supposed YouTube page:
If you use it Firefox, or Chrome, you will not be able to access the malicious website, as the browsers will protect you with warning windows.
Caution! if you use it Internet Explorer, as well browser of Microsoft does not display any warning. If you open it, watch where your browser URLs appear. The link that appears has nothing to do with YouToube's links.
The villain link promises a xxx video of “ZN” titled “ZN Private Video.” We're not giving the name as ZN appears to exist as a real Facebook profile, and of course it's infected.
The false video shows it was uploaded today and the video description says:
Α
The alleged video appears to be malfunctioning stating that the version of Video Player is old, and invites you to update it. If someone makes a mistake and clicks on "Upgrade Now" they install the virus on their computer.
If you are already a victim of this attack, for the first time delete all messages from your profile to prevent the virus from spreading, look in its applications Facebook and remove the malicious app that posts the messages and scan your entire system with a reliable and up-to-date anti-virus.
