5elafabook, an ISIS social network, went offline a few hours after its launch. The network, 5elafabοok, was supposed to be set up to be a forum for jihadists to exchange views, as Twitter and other social networks close their accounts as soon as they are discovered.
The 5elafabook – pronounced Khelafabook and meaning “the book of the Caliphate,” declared itself independent and not sponsored by the Islamic State. Nevertheless they shared the same worldtheory and the same principles as the Islamic State.
Surprisingly, the webσελίδα www.5elafabook.com hosted on USA. Η ιστοσελίδα φαινόταν να είναι περιορισμένων πόρων και δεν έκανε χρήση κρυπτογράφησης. Ο ερευνητής ασφαλείας Rickey Gevers claims that the "set-up was done by an amateur ISIS supporter or a prankster".
Amateur or not, however, the website caught their attention Anonymous, who soon took responsibility for the site's violation.
5elafabook.com was clearly an incomplete Pre-Beta and came online on Sunday before it was logged out about a day later.
The website used the social networking platform Socialkit and was hosted on its webservices companyGoDaddy.com. The domain was purchased by its owner on March 3 using a address της Μοσούλης. Είχε σαν χώρα χώρα κατtreatmentEgypt and the phone number was fake.
