The Windows offer several ways to take a screenshot without using third-party tools. How about the idea of doing it with a dedicated shortcut, without third-party tools and without pressing the necessary keys?
Below we will see how you can create a special shortcut that will use the built-in feature of the operating system to get that screenshots you want.
As you may know, you can capture a snapshot of it screenby pressing the Win + Print Screen keys together. Your screen will appear to flash for half a second, then return to its normal brightness. However, the screenshot is ready and has been saved in the path: This one computer\Photos\Snapshots.
We will therefore try to automate what we have described above using special scripting tools. AutoHotkey can help us a lot. So, we can create an AutoHotkey script that we will later convert into an executable file.
The AutoHotkey script is alone two series:
#NoTrayIcon Send # {PrintScreen}
The two above lines will press the Win + Print Screen keys for you.
To manually create the executable file, you need to install AutoHotkey from here and (Ahk 2 Exe). Copy and save to the txt file the above lines.
Then change the extension of the .txt file to .ahk. If you can not do that use AutoHotkey. To convert it to .exe use it Ahk 2 Exe.
If all of this seems Chinese, download the .exe from the link at the end of the article.
You can use exe as it is, or by putting it in your taskbar. You can also create a shortcut to the iGuRu.exe file and set a hotkey so you just need to press a key to get screenshots.
exe works on Windows 10, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.
Download its exe iGuRu.gr
