The development of Windows 95 started in March of 1992 and Microsoft officially released the new operating system on 24 August 1995, just before 20 years. The New Office Release Party brought the world at midnight at Microsoft stores to buy the new operating system.
At the beginning of its development the new operating system was codenamed Chicago, and Microsoft used exactly the same trick that it used for Windows 10.
He made the beta versions available to anyone who wanted to try it for $19.95. All those who paid the money received diskettes for the installation, or the upgrade from Windows 3.1.
Microsoft's plan was not only to allow users to try Windows 95, but also to help it improve the operating system.
And for history, in Windows 10 one of the most popular features is the Start Menu. Windows 95 build 56 and 58s were the first builds that brought a Start Menu in the form of a single chassis that had all the main parts of the operating system grouped together.
