There is a general confusion about the release of the latest Windows 10 upgrade. This much-discussed upgrade, referred to elsewhere as Threshold 2, or as Fall Update, or as build 10586 or even Windows 10 version 1511 (where 1511 means November 2015) is the one that has left many questions and especially to those who have missed episodes since there are still many friends who ask me what this Threshold is and unfortunately they do not even know what it is.. 
Let's see very briefly and clearly what we know about this upgrading and let our friends know:
What is the difference between Windows Updates - Threshold 2?
In principle, this upgrade has nothing to do with the well-known Updates as we knew them because with the advent of Windows 10 these are now done every second third (Patch Tuesday) every month. These updates are intended to close any security holes that are discovered and improve the code for better security and overall system performance.
That is, Threshold 2 is not a series of downloaded updates;

Microsoft claims that such big upgrades like this will only offer 2 with 3 times a year, and this is the first major upgrade after Windows 10 release this summer.
The process can be done from the Windows Update automatic system but Threshold 2 is considered Upgrade.
What does Upgrade mean?
Upgrade is considered a major upgrade that changes critical points of the code of an operating system and adds new features and features that did not exist greatly affecting performance.
In Linux, for example, if you have ubuntu 13 and the ubuntu 14 version comes out with the command "do-release-upgrade" it upgrades (without formatting and reinstalling) from 13 to ubuntu 14.
So Threshold 2 generally improves user experience and upgrades Windows 10 from 10240 to 10586. Microsoft claims that the 10586 version is 30% faster than Windows 7 with the test on the same machine.
How do I know what version of windows I wear?
By pressing Win+R on the console, write winver in the field and press Enter to see what version of windows you are running. If you have 10240 it will be your turn at some point don't worry, the upgrade may be slow (because it downloads the files to background) but always after this “stealth” download appears as an option.
For those who have just had Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 and went to windows 10, you should wait for 31 days from the upgrade day because Microsoft gives you this time to go back to your old windows if you did not like the experience of Windows 10.
When will the next big upgrade come?
The next big update is rumored to have a code name Redstone and will be released in the middle of 2016. Until then, however, those of you who are windows insiders will be the first to get a taste if of course you are registered in the fast ring, being the first to test the changes and improvements of the major upgrades.
