Kaspersky Talent Lab: Careers in the field of digital security can bring high pay, however, it is very difficult for those who are now starting their career path to find the way to this complex industry. This, unfortunately, leads to a shortage of experts worldwide, which could expose many businesses to the risk of falling victim to digital criminals or spies.
This is why Kaspersky Lab has launched Talent Lab, an international competition for students and young professionals aged 18 to 30. The program aims to solve local digital security challenges by harnessing the technical knowledge, creativity and talent of the contestants. The ultimate goal is for the program to fund the training and specialization of the winners or secure their participation in the most prestigious industry events worldwide, such as Cannes Lions and the Security Analyst Summit (SAS).
The contest will bring out three winners: the winner of the "Top Talent" award will receive a grant of $ 10.000 for further training, the winner of the "Security Talent" award will be invited to SAS 2017 with all costs covered by Kaspersky Lab and the winner of the "Creativity Talent" award will have the opportunity to participate in Cannes Lions 2017, with the academic permission entry and travel tickets covered by Kaspersky Lab. All 50 finalists will receive additional prizes and gifts from Kaspersky Lab and its Talent Lab partners, as well as professional guidance from experts, opening them up to long-term career opportunities.

Through this competition, we want to attract as much curiosity as possible, but also to show that there are many different ways to enter the digital security industry. Interested parties can declare their participation in the e-mail address https://academy.kaspersky.com/talentlab/, up to 15 November 2016. The program will include an online assessment period, from 15 to 30 November, while 50 finalists will announce 1η December and will qualify for the final phase, to be held in Prague in February of 2017. There, they will have the opportunity to present their works and compete for the main awards.
Talent Lab's technical evaluation criteria include: practical work in areas such as anti-malware, ανάπτυξη λύσεων ψηφιακής ασφάλειας, mobile ασφάλεια, φυσικά συστήματα ψηφιακής ασφάλειας, Internet of Things, ψηφιακή ασφάλεια και ευαισθητοποίηση γύρω από θέματα ασφάλειας για παιδιά.
