Vault 7: Wikileaks just released a massive database of confidential documents that could be the largest leakage ever made by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
The leak is the "first installment" of Wikileaks "codenamed Vault 7" files that focus on CIA internal covert operations, such as espionage protocols and hacking investigations.
Julian Assange was scheduled to present the leak today at a press conference he announced earlier yesterday. Unexpected issues with Assange's live streaming through the Facebook platform prompted him to proceed with an emergency plan, posting 8.700 confidential documents - despite the cancellation of the press conference.

The first leaks give us a confidential insight into the CIA tactics in global hacking and cybercrime.
The site reports about Vault 7:
"The first complete part of the series, 'Year Zero,' consists of 8.761 documents and files from an isolated, high-security network located inside the CIA Cyber Intelligence Center in Langley, Virginia. Contains revelations when the CIA targeted French political parties and candidates in the run-up to the presidential elections elections of 2012.
Recently, the CIA lost control of the majority of its arsenal for hacking, including malware, viruses, trojans, weaponized "zero day" exploits, remote connection malware, and related documentation. This excellent collection, which amounts to several hundred million lines of code, gives its owner all the CIA hacking power. ”

"Year Zero" shows the scope and direction of CIA global hacking, its malware arsenal and dozens of "zero days" used against a wide range of American and European products. Apple iPhone, Google Android and Microsoft Windows and even Samsung TVs are turning into disguised microphones.
In addition to the documents revealing the techniques the CIA uses to control and steal data from smartphones and other portable Appliances, the leaks appear to indicate that the agency has developed potentially lethal technologies that allow for the remote control of both ground and aerial vehicles. We should also mention the control over medical devices.
The volume of documents that they leaked from Vault 7 already exceeds the first three years of Edward Snowden's NSA leaks.
Information from the period between 2013 and 2016 is revealed, and the first part focuses on recent events.
