TVAddons, a leading library for unofficial Kodi addons, has mysteriously disappeared. The site's domains don't seem to be responding and the DNS records don't seem to exist. It determines why and how all this happened, but given the lawsuit received by service last week, some fear the worst.
Last week we passed the news That the TVAddons library is subject to prosecution by a federal court in Texas.
Since then, Kodi's pirate community has been in turmoil. Pretty popular Kodi addons have decided to close, and now TVAddons itself seems to be in trouble.
TVAddons is one of the largest repositories of Kodi add-ons, many of which allow users to watch pirated content. The website had grown massively in recent years reporting 40 million unique visitors in March alone.
Since yesterday, however, these millions of users can no longer access the site. Without a warning or a public explanation, the domain name TVAddons stopped responding. DNS registrations appear to have been removed, which means that the name and page are no longer accessible to the public.
Just a few hours ago TVAddons on Facebook disappeared completely.
TVAddons listed 1.500 different add-ons, which included the community-maintained Exodus addon and was one of the most popular.
It may be too early to draw any conclusions about the future of Kodi addons as we know them, but everything seems to indicate that things have become very difficult for the communities that support them. Of course no one can make predictions because the torrent community has proven to us that although too many do not want it mode her, she continues to exist…
Update: Exodus seems to work for the moment, though many of its streaming distribution sources do not seem to be showing up.
