Η Microsoft as we mentioned in previous publication, began offering native support to Ubuntu through the functional of Windows 10.
Today the company seems to have gone one step further:
As promised, starting today you can make the λήψη of Ubuntu directly from the Windows Store. Installing an entire operating system was as easy as downloading an application from the store of the company.
But "easy" is relevant.
The feature is currently only available to users participating in the Windows Insider Program. You should also pre-enable the Windows Subsystem for Linux (Windows Subsystem for Linux).
Those who are interested should know that this is the Ubuntu command line and is not meant to run graphical applications.
So the use of distribution through the Windows platform is primarily for developers and system administrators. Of course there is always the solution to add a GUI that will run with a lot of problems.
Adding popular distribution to Windows Store does not make things much easier but saves two keystrokes at the command line.
