Antergos is a modern, stylish and powerful operating system based on Arch Linux. It began to circulate under the name Cinnarch, combining the Cinnamon desktop with the distribution Arch Linux.
Since then, the project has moved beyond its original goals and offers many different desktop options, such as: GNOME 3 (default), Cinnamon, Razor-qt and Xfce. Antergos has its own graphical installation program.
The functional like all its forks Arch Linux, is not recommended for novice Linux users. If you have already worked with Linux (even with Ubuntu or Mint), you will not have any particular difficulty.
As mentioned above Antergos has its own Cnchi graphical installer. The boot of the installer is done in one surface work GNOME, but during installation, you can choose from many different work environments such as: GNOME 3, Cinnamon, Mate, KDE, Xfce and Openbox.
Η connection on network is necessary to start the installation as the Cnchi installer is automatically updated before it.
Today Antergos released a new update: Antergos 2016.11.20 ISOs are available for λήψη.
