Google today announced changes to the Play Store to increase the likelihood of finding apps that you know sometimes are not working properly.
In accordance with developer blog for Android of Google, half of Play Store app reviews are about app stability. With this in mind, Google has tweaked its search to favor apps and games which have proven higher quality:
“As part of our ongoing effort to offer the best possible experience at Google Play, we recently enhanced them algorithms search and detection that reflect the quality of applications. This results in higher quality apps appearing higher in the Play Store than similar lower quality apps (eg apps that experience more frequent crashes).”
But what remains unclear from the company and its announcement, is what happens to the applications that have no comments at all? They will also appear first in Results search even if no one is interested in them?
Google also advises application developers, who may suddenly be at the bottom of a search list, use user feedback to improve their applications and increase their ratings.
