File Explorer: Convert to FTP Client

Enter it user (optional)

Some FTP servers allow public access, so you won't need to enter a name. But hosting services require a username and a password .

Then type the name of the FTP so that you can distinguish it from other network areas that exist on the you.

File Explorer: Log on to the FTP server

Double-click the FTP name you see in the File Explorer sidebar to link.

Enter your password and choose Save Password if you do not want to type it at any time. Then click Sign in.

If you no longer need the FTP server, you can delete it by right-clicking on it and selecting Delete.

Note: File Explorer can not connect to FTP over SSH (sftp) or Explicit and Implicit FTPS
