Facebook Watch: Facebook has launched the Watch service in the United States on Thursday as it works with YouTube for revenue from video ads.
The Watch video, which began testing earlier this month, allows users to find TV shows based on what their friends see and have conversations with others who watch the show during an episode.
Η service will contain content from Vox, Buzzfeed, Discovery Communications, A&E Networks, Walt Disney ABC, and Live Sports such as Major League Baseball.
The largest Social Network via Facebook Watch will also initially pay content creators for shows that will be of interest. For the shortest events will be paid between $ 10.000 and $ 35.000, while larger presentations could reach $ 250.000, according to Reuters sources.
In the end, Facebook will open the platform for everyone, and everyone will be able to submit some live event.
Content Partners will earn 55% of revenue from ads while Facebook will hold 45%. The company is currently testing how ads can work as part of the broadcast, according to Dan Rose, vice president of Facebook partnerships.
The company acquired the Source3 Intellectual Property Rights (IP) company in July to help content creators protect their IP.
