Exposed Yahoo accounts reached 3 twice

As the biggest known hack of all time it seems to be and Yahoo account leak, as the exposed accounts were revealed to be around 3 billion.

Yahoo

Η Yahoo, which was acquired by Verizon, now believes that the total number of accounts breached in August 2013, and disclosed last December, was not 1 billion, but it's 3 twice !!!! And so this particular hack is the biggest in the history of the internet.

By the end of last year, Yahoo revealed that in August of 2013 had suffered a massive violation of its data, which affected 1's two user accounts. The leaked information was names, email addresses, phone numbers, birthdays, passwords, and in some cases, "encrypted or non-encrypted security questions and answers".

At that time, Yahoo had confirmed that hackers did not collect bank details or credit card details linked to Yahoo accounts.

But on Tuesday Verizon made the deal following announcement: “Following the acquisition of Yahoo by Verizon, and during ολοκλήρωσης των διεργασιών, η εταιρεία έλαβε πρόσφατα νέα δεδομένα και τώρα πιστεύει, μετά από and with the help of outside expert investigators, that all Yahoo user accounts were affected by the August 2013 theft."

The statement clearly shows that if you had a Yahoo account on 2013, then your data has definitely been violated.

So for whatever reason, if you have not changed your password since then, you will need to change it right now and activate 2FA authentication.

Also, if you use the answers to security questions, change them immediately. You mean that if you use these passwords or security responses in other non-Yahoo accounts, the best thing to do is make immediate changes.

Deleting your Yahoo account is not a good option as the company deletes these accounts after 30 days, which allows the hacker to invade. So, even if you do not want to use your Yahoo account, just activate the 2 agent control and leave it.

Yahoo has begun the notification of affected account holders by asking them to change their codes directly, and assuring them that stolen data "does not include passwords in plain text, card numbers, or bank accounts."

It should be noted that this violation is different from violation of 2014 which happened again in Yahoo, which was revealed in September last year, affecting as much as 500 million user accounts.
