What is Firefox's Lockbox browser?

Lockbox: Mozilla developers have started developing a new project to improve the feature that enables integrated password management in .Lockbox

So the Mozilla Foundation released a new extension, initially for employees. From today it is also available for users who can install it from the following links:

Here and here

The project called Lockbox renews the old one Firefox password manager with a new user interface (UI).

It also has a new one in the Firefox UI, in case users want to add a shortcut to their browser's main menu to open Lockbox without looking for it in their browser options.

Lockbox also supports locking it s with a gentleman access, helping users keep their passwords safe from unauthorized access by colleagues, family members and others.

Although Lockbox is in a very early stage of development right now, the Mozilla Foundation will likely move it to Test Pilot for more user testing before deciding whether to move it to the stable for further development.

The Firefox Test Pilot is an add-on for Firefox that allows users to install, test and support experimental capabilities that can be added to Firefox at some point in the future.

At this time, Mozilla developers report that Lockbox has only been tested on Firefox 57 (and above), and that installing on Firefox 56 or an earlier version may not work at all.

Also, there is currently no way s of Lockbox's master password, so beware of the brave who are thinking of trying the new project.
