Windows 10 You have two months for a free upgrade

As we already mentioned, the free Windows 10 upgrade offer for users who use assistive technologies is still available after the Fall release .

However, it seems Microsoft is finally planning to end this offer, closing the unique void that allowed users to upgrade to Window 10 for free.Windows 10

Let's see what happened from the beginning:

In July 2015, when Microsoft introduced Windows 10, it offered the new one for free σύστημα σε όλους όσους έτρεχαν τα λειτουργικά Windows 7 ή Windows 8 στους υπολογιστές τους, κατά τους πρώτους 12 μήνες. Ένα χρόνο αργότερα, η εταιρεία υποτίθεται ότι τερon this offer, but continued to allow users who use assistive technologies to upgrade to Windows 10 at no charge.

The company says:

If assistive technologies, you can upgrade to Windows 10 for free as Microsoft continues its efforts to improve the Windows 10 experience for people who use these technologies.

With the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, we've taken some action to improve the accessibility of Windows 10. To learn more, read the blog that details some of these improvements.

Before upgrading, contact the assistive technology provider to learn more about the compatibility of their software with Window 10.

Although at first glance it looked like a welcome offer for anyone using assistive technologies, it was no secret that many users of Windows 7 and 8.1 used this method to upgrade to Windows 10 for free because they did not need any verification.

In other words, there were no controls on the functions of the assistive technologies operating in a system, so the upgrading to Windows 10 was still completely free.

Microsoft itself explained that "we do not limit the offer of upgrades to specific assistive technologies. If you use Windows assistive technology, you have the right to offer an upgrade. ”

However, Microsoft has decided to close this gap and now states on the upgrade page that "the upgrade offer expires on December 31, 2017."

This means that the gap will no longer be available from January 1st, so if you want to upgrade to Windows 10 for free, you better do so within the next 2 months.
