Offensive Security today announced the release of the third rolling version of the Kali Linux operating system.
Kali Linux 2017.03 is the third Rolling (rolling) version of Kali Linux and comes after several months of research and development. Brings the latest and greatest penetration testing tools, as well as a new database synchronized with the software repositories of the operating system trial version Debian GNU / Linux.
Kali Linux 2017.03 distribution provides besides the most recently tool and operating system packages and an all-new security feature.
The new version, Kali Linux 2017.1, comes with the Kernel 4.13.10, increases the limit of EXT4 directories from 10 million entries to 2 billion, improved GPU support and comes with Azure and AWS images of Kali Linux for cloud instances.
“We are pleased to announce the availability of the Kali Linux 2017.3 release, which brings with it several exciting updates and features. The updated kernel provides more and better hardware support, as well as a host of updated tools. But this version has a few more surprises up its sleeve. The integration of drivers for more wireless chipsets is here. These drivers are not part of the normal Linux kernel which has now been modified to be added.
This chipset supports 802.11 AC, SMB 3.0, and TLS support making it one of the first drivers to be included in this standard.
