Linux Mint 18.3 Sylvia is a version long term support (LTS) that will be supported until 2021. It comes with updated software and brings improvements and many new features to make your desktop experience more comfortable to use.
Stable versions of Linux Mint 18.3 have now been released to distribution repositories. The official announcement has not been made yet, but below you can be the first to download the ISOs in flavors Cinnamon and Mate.
Linux Mint 18.3 comes with improvements to cross-desktop X-Apps with improved short-cuts in the Xplayer video player and line sorting in the Xed word processor. The login screen uses the LightDM that runs the Slick greeter and includes support for HiDPI.
The update manager has been greatly improved to help users find their ideal balance between updates security and system stability:
