Cyber Monday after Black Friday: Consumer blackmail of Black Friday or Black Friday is over. Black Friday is a purely American idea that has been adopted by many other countries. It is the day following Thanksgiving Day, which falls Thursday.
Black Friday is nothing but an advertising campaign and a method marketing followed by large and small businesses, or to better say those businesses that are financially capable of advertising.
For those of you who did not arrive on Friday to delay your consumer fury, another authentic Greek custom follows. It is called Cyber Monday and we will leave the ironic comments to call the online second, institution, as its organizers want it.
What is Cyber Monday:
Cyber Monday refers to an entire week of E-Commerce. This week you will find "attractive" offers from many Greek electronics stores.
Those who are interested can "experience" the online shopping experience directly from their couch, for a whole week…. and whoever lasts!
Of course the week is organized by the Hellenic Electronic Commerce Association, GR.EC.A. It organizes it for the fifth consecutive year and is under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy and Development. This year, the "celebration week" will run from Friday, December 1st to Thursday, December 7th.
"E-Commerce Week is held in the style of the American Cyber Monday, while many other countries such as England, Germany, Australia etc. organize corresponding days. During this festive period, the online B2C turnover increases significantly, while at the same time it marks the beginning of the Christmas markets" report the organizers, and argue that Cyber Monday is already an institution...
So we got another "custom" that aims to money left in our pockets after black friday, tax and bank payments. In fact, this time the "institution" is under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy and Development.
