Days after publication of iGuRu.gr The Linux Mint development team has officially announced the availability of Cinnamon and MATE versions of the latest Mint Linux 18.3 "Sylvia" operating system.
The new Linux Mint 18.3 Sylvia is now officially out with the latest DE (desktop environments) Cinnamon 3.6 and MATE 1.18. The distribution runs Linux Kernel 4.10 from Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS (Xenial Xerus) and includes many new features and improvements, along with updated packages uploaded to the software repositories.

Linux Mint 18.3 comes with an improved auxiliary πρόγραμμα λογισμικού που θα διευκολύνει την εγκατάσταση εφαρμογών τρίτων όπως το Spotify, το Steam, το Skype, το Minecraft, το WhatsApp ή το Google Earth, υποστηρίζει το universal binary format Flatpak, διαθέτει ένα πλήρως ανανεωμένο Backup Tool καθώς και ένα νέο εργαλείο για snapshots συστήματος, που ονομάζεται Timeshift.
Additionally, Linux Mint 18.3 “Sylvia” includes a new Reporting System to help users more easily report any system crashes, improvements to the project's various XApps, such as the Xed text editor and the Xreader PDF viewer. You'll find a login screen that allows you better configuration, and out-of-the-box support for spell checking in various languages. Redshift is now pre-installedchoice.

At this time, the upgrade path from Linux Mint 18.2 or earlier is not available.
The 32-bit version can only boot into BIOS systems, not UEFI.
