Surprises in its established monthly antivirus tests AV-TEST:
Kaspersky Lab completed this round of testing by receiving the maximum score, as it achieved out of 6 points, the maximum score in the tests for protection, performance and usability.
However, the surprise we mentioned in the previous paragraph came from Chinese security company AhnLab, whose V3 Internet Security software was able to capture Kaspersky's performance by taking the top score.
So AhnLab's software scored better than almost anything known products security (Bitdefender, Symantec, Avira and ESET).
The following four companies came close to the maximum score of 17,5 points: Symantec, McAfee, Bitdefender and Avira, while VIPRE Security and Trend Micro received a total of 17 points.
Symantec and McAfee products have had similar performance with 6 degrees in protection and usability, but only 5,5 units for performance while Bitdefender achieved the maximum result in 2 first trials but has earned just 5,5 units in usability.
Microsoft's antivirus once again lagged far behind with a score of 14 points, although Windows Defender it beat Comodo's security solution, which only got 13 points. Windows Defender received 5 points for protection and performance and 4 points for usability.
