Linux Mint: Linux is a more popular alternative to Windows of Microsoft, mainly for the security it offers.
But although the platform it is quite end user friendly, many are reluctant to install the operating system. 
Linux Mint is often cited as the friendliest alternative to Microsoft's Windows, but as of today it just got even more affordable. The Linux Mint development team has just released a detailed guide showing how to install the distribution step by step. The guide is available for everyone from the official websiteσελίδα.
It is currently available in English and French, but will soon be translated into many other languages, according to Linux Mint executives, who say that in addition to translations, other guides will be released soon.
Note that Linux may continue to evolve, but Windows is still the top choice on desktops worldwide.
According to data provided by NetMarketShare, Windows is the number one operating system with a market share of 88,39%, macOS is second with 9,05% and Linux is third with 2,21%.
It is worth mentioning here that this year the Microsoft operating system for desktops fell below the 90% threshold it has held for more than a decade.
Of course we do not expect Linux to make up the difference, but with drivers like the one above, many will consider trying the open operating system.
