Google announced that the users of the application Google Maps will soon be able to report new types of events on their iPhones.
In one suspension blog, Google said it has added the ability to report new incidents on the road in real time, such as traffic jams speedand accidents, in the latest version of the iOS app released last week.
Such reports may be made by others applications, like Google's Waze. And there is the feature to report speed blocks and it has been available in the Android version of the app for quite some time.
Google reports that this reporting feature is one of the "most popular on Android".
However, Google has also added the ability to report other types of events to the Google Maps application. These new reporting features appear in both Android and iOS applications at the same time.
Among the new reference options are "road rubbish", "construction works", "damaged vehicles" and "lane closure".
New features for Android and iOS apps will start rolling out worldwide this week.
