Windows 10: Offer for free upgrade still valid

Microsoft was supposed to stop the freebie to Windows 10 with assistive technologies on December 31st, but apparently the loophole still exists, allowing anyone interested to install on its latest operating system s without paying.Windows 10

Microsoft has allowed anyone to upgrade from Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 for free for the first 12 months after the release of the operating system in July 2015.

The free version of the operating system, although it expired a year later, continued to apply to systems with assistive technologies, allowing free upgrades to Windows 10 again, but without any substantial control.

The company also states on its page:

If you use assistive technologies, you can upgrade to Window 10 for free as Microsoft continues its efforts to improve the Window 10 experience for people using these technologies.

With Windows 10 Anniversary Update, we've taken some steps to improve the accessibility of Windows 10. To learn more, read the blog that details some of these improvements.

Before upgrading, contact the assistive technology provider to learn more about the compatibility of their software with Window 10.

If you now want Windows 10 and you are ready to take advantage of the upgrade offer, select the button below to get started.

Yes, I use assistive technologies and I'm ready to upgrade to Window 10. *

Today, however, the offer is still available and allows it of Windows 10 from Windows 7 and 8.1.

To mention that it is very likely that Microsoft will block in the next few days as the technicians will have to go back to the them from the holidays and fix the upgrade page. On the other hand, this particular omission suits the goals of Microsoft which wants to install the operating system on as many PCs as possible.

However, if you need a cheap license for Windows 7, or 8 to allow you a free update, read the following publication.
