The company planned to terminate the free upgrades on 31 December 2017, as it had planned to halt the free upgrades and one year after the official release of Windows 10. To mention once again that although the free upgrades available through this proAlthough they are aimed specifically at people who use assistive technologies, the method can be used to upgrade by anyone with Windows 7 and 8.1 to Windows 10, as Microsoft does not perform any checks.

Naturally, this omission is pleasing to Microsoft's goal of installing the operating system on as many PCs as possible.

See the upgrade page.
