Devuan 2.0 ASCII: Devuan GNU+Linux is a fork of Debian that has the SysV init software instead of systemd.
The Devuan development team has announced the availability of a new beta release with the ASCII code name:
“The long awaited release of Devuan 2.0 ASCII beta (build 3568) is here. eudev has now replaced systemd-udev, eloogind has been added as an alternative to ConsoleKit. The users can choose between fully functional Xfce (default), KDE, Cinnamon, LXQt, matt and LXDE. The ARM board cores have been updated to 4.14 and 4.15 for most boards.”
More details can be found at announcement of the new version.
The new beta version of Devuan (by Debian Stretch) is available in many editions:net-install, live discs and full installation DVDs.
There are also pictures (ISO) for ARM computers and a separate set of notes for the use of ARM ISO.
