Three users of the Facebook Messenger application filed lawsuits against Facebook on Tuesday, citing that the social network violated their privacy by collecting archives recording of phone calls and text messages.

The lawsuit was filed in federal court for the Northern District of California and seeks compensation for account of all affected users of the social network.

Facebook said Sunday that it does not collect call or text message content and that this information is stored securely. The data is not sold to third parties, he said, as he has stated several times.
