YouTube hacked; a script for defaceing the platform is released

Something strange is happening on YouTube. As it turns out Google video company has been hit by hackers, as many popular videos have been destroyed, or disappeared suddenly!

At the moment, no one knows the source of the attack, but most of the videos that have been hit are from Vevo's accounts.

Some tweets that appeared showed that the attackers had originally deleted Despacito along with many other videos, but since then Despacito has reappeared on the platform.

But even now some videos continue to appear with changed titles "x - Hacked by Prosox & Shade Fuck Illuminati".

Other videos that are said to have been affected include songs by Chris Brown, Shakira, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift, according to a TheVerge post. Most of these clips have been edited by their creators to remove "teased" content.

One of the hackers who took part in the attack stated that they used a script to "spoil" the videos:

Meanwhile, another member of the hacking team threatens to violate NASA YouTube, as well as the controversial brothers Paul - Logan and Jake.
