Developers of the powerful, free, open source Krita digital painting software have announced the release of Krita 4.0.1.
The Krita app is an editor graphics which uses the Qt 5 and KDE 5 framework.
Krita is designed as an advanced digital painting application.
It has been affected to some extent by closed software such as Corel Painter and SAI. Along with some basic functionality, the app packs a few different features than most apps of its kind, including the ability to work with both bitmap and vector graphics.
Application developers are also trying to simplify user interaction and focus on features that are more relevant to painting and drawing.
Krita is free software distributed under the GNU General Public License (version 2). It was originally released as part of KOffice version 1.4.0 on June 21, 2005.
The program can run in Windows environments (released in Windows Store), Linux, and Mac OSX for both the x64 or x86 architectures.
