When you upgrade to a new "build", Windows creates a folder called Windows.old that contains all of your system files from the "old" Windows installation. This allows you to go back to the previous version of Windows 10 if something went wrong with the new version installed.
However, this folder contains more than 10 GB. Windows will automatically delete it after 10 days, as mentioned above, but you can delete them immediately if you do not want to wait.
You should know that you can only delete these files if your computer appears to be working properly. If you have a problem with the new version of Windows 10, you will not be able to "go back" to the previous version.
How to delete the Windows.old folder:
If after a few days everything works correctly, you can delete the old files. The Windows.old folder because it contains files on your old system can not be deleted manually.
By updating Windows 10 April 2018 Update, you can delete files using the new Free Space tool in Settings. Follow the route:
Settings - System - Storage - Free Space
Check the "Previous Windows Installer" option in the list. You will see the size it occupies on your disk. If this option is not listed, then you have already deleted the files, or Windows 10 deleted them before you.
Select other types of data you want to delete and click delete files.
