The company was founded by its inventor BitTorrent Bram Cohen. Since then BitTorrent Inc. became widely known by the popular torrent client uTorrent. The company pledged to refocus its efforts on what has been proven to work, namely uTorrent. However, BitTorrent Inc. did not stop there, having acquired a new name. Although not yet published, the company known as BitTorrent Inc. turned into Rainberry Inc.
