One of the most recognizable brand names in its field technology appears to disclaim his identity. BitTorrent is without doubt one of the most recognizable technology brand names, so it is surprising that BitTorrent Inc. changed her name to Rainberry.
According to the company, it was strictly a "corporate decision", but did not give any other incentive to make a change of this magnitude.
The company was founded by its inventor BitTorrent Bram Cohen. Since then BitTorrent Inc. made popular by the popular torrent client uTorrent. However, BitTorrent Inc. did not stop there, having acquired a new name. Although not yet published, the company known as BitTorrent Inc. turned into Rainberry Inc.
"Rainberry Inc is the official name of the company. and changed around the beginning of 2017, ”Rainberry product manager Jordy Berson told TorrentFreak. He said it was a purely corporate decision and that none of the existing product brands would change.
The best way to think about it is the example of Alphabet Inc. which is the official name of the company that most people know as Google.

Rainberry does not yet have a corporate website and is not listed in the official ones websites BitTorrent.com and uTorrent.com. Additionally, all Rainberry employees still list BitTorrent Inc as their employer, while Rainberry does not appear to be on Linkedin yet.
