Nintendo has announced that it will rebuild and release the historic NES Classic Edition on June 29 at the request of many retro gaming players. And within the same year it is expected to release the SNES Classic Edition.
If you once owned Nintendo's NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) game console, then the games first made their appearance in homes, you will surely be thrilled to hear that you will soon have the opportunity to buy a brand new console, almost identical to the old one from your childhood, and featuring all the amazing games you played back then.
A year and a half ago, Nintendo brought back to store shelves the NES Classic Edition game console, a replica of the old NES, a special console designed to emulate 30 classic NES games, such as Super Mario Bros., Legend of Zelda, το Donkey Kong, το Mega Man, PAC-MAN, FINAL FANTASY, Metroid, Mario Bros., Galaga and StarTropics.
Nintendo sold the NES Classic Edition for a few months, until April of last year, when it announced that it would replace it with the Super NES Classic Edition game console, which was launched in September by 2017. However, at the end of 2017, the company announced that it would stop producing SNES Classic Edition.
Now, the Nintendo of America announced on Twitter that it reinstates both the NES Classic Edition game console and the SNES Classic Edition game, which will be available for sale on the shelves or online from 29 June 2018, at $ 59.99 USD for NES Classic Edition and $ 79.99 US dollars for the SNES Classic Edition.
The box will also include the NES Classic Controller, which Nintendo said works with NES Virtual games Sideboard on the Wii U, an HDMI cable, a power adapter and 30 pre-installed 8-bit retro games, including Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, The Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong, Mega Man 2, PAC-MAN, FINAL FANTASY, and Metroid.
Players will also be able to play popular titles like Kirby's Adventure, Castlevania, NINJA GAIDEN, Super Mario Bros. 2, Dr. Mario, Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream, Balloon Fight, Donkey Kong Jr., Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, Excitebike, Ice Climber, Kid Icarus, DOUBLE DRAGON II: THE REVENGE, BUBBLE BOBBLE, and TECMO BOWL.
#NESClassic Edition will return to stores on June 29! This system and the #SNESClassic Edition system are expected to be available through the end of the year. https://t.co/LclbG5m4ta pic.twitter.com/1PcXBI5qJC
