Chrome: unlock the malware scanner

Click the menu button in the top right corner of Chrome and choose Settings.

At the bottom of the list, click the Advanced button to display all the options.

If you do not see the option, make sure you have updated Chrôme on last edition from the menu Menu - Help - About Google Chrome.

Note that this is not a general-purpose malware scanner. It only checks for malware that "hits" Chrome. So, you should always have a reliable antivirus (updated).

The scanner will help you remove any program hijackers , and can be used when you see pop-ups, search pages that you did not specify, or virus alerts. Generally, if your Chrome looks slow, use the scanner.
