Google Lens: A standalone app on Google Play is released

To March (7 March of 2018) Google stated that Google Lens, a που χρησιμοποιεί τεχνητή νοημοσύνη για τον εντοπισμό αντικειμένων χρησιμοποιώντας την κάμερα του τηλεφώνου, θα διατεθεί σε όλους τους χρήστες του Google Photos στο Android.

Today Google has released a standalone Google Lens app through Google Play, allowing anyone without the feature to access it on their Android device. The Google Lens app used above uses artificial intelligence to provide information from images you've taken (clothes, books, buildings, etc.).Google Lens

Although you can download the Google Lens app, it doesn't seem to be compatible with all Androids . For example, it will work perfectly on the Samsung Note 8, but not on the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. Other users reported that the app does not work on Moto Z Play, Nokia 7 Plus and Xiaomi Mi A1. In Google Play, the specifications of the application state that an operating system of Android Marshmallow and above is required.

So far, Google Lens app works in camera apps of Pixel, Pixel 2, Sony devices XZ2 and XZ2 Compact, as well as some OnePlus devices. Google said during I/O that the platform initially works on 10 different Android devices, but didn't specify which ones besides Pixel devices. Google had then only revealed the manufacturers of the 10 devices: LG, Motorola, Xiaomi, Sony Mobile, HMD/Nokia, Transsion, TCL, OnePlus, BQ and Asus.

If you have Android devices not included in the list, the Lens app will probably not work…
