Android Files Go: send 100 photos to less than 5 seconds

The popular management system of Android, Files Go, has been upgraded and now offers faster file transfers, faster connections and safer file sharing.

Google has released a "significant upgrade" to the app's features, especially for sharing files with people close by.

Files Go was originally designed to help users in India to cope with limited storage space and network latency. Since then, however, it has been released in China and made available globally using about 10 million users.Files Go
Since then Google has been constantly updating it by adding new ones which tests them through a beta channel.

What the upgraded application brings

The function for nearby file sharing or nearby it now has its own tab called “Share”, which comes to make access easier.

Google also says that connecting to other nearby users will be much faster. The app will automatically use the fastest available for sending files, so if 5GHz Wi-Fi Direct is available, it will automatically use it.

According to Google, some users will be able to transfer files at speed 490Mbps or about four times faster than the previous 125Mbps limit. At this speed, Google estimates that users can send 100 "high quality photos" (original quality) in less than five seconds.

The application also uses WPA2 encryption to protect file-sharing files for sharing.

As for space saving, Google had already notified the app so users can delete photos from their Google Photos uploaded device.
