Facebook Stories disable story history

Facebook Stories : Facebook released the Stories feature by copying Snapchat. But Facebook Stories aren't nearly as popular as Snapchat.

Facebook Stories are available on all smartphones and you can join and videos to create short stories that are supposed to disappear after 24 hours.Facebook Stories

If you post frequently on Facebook Stories, it is assumed that your post will not be displayed after 24 hours. But as you might know a copy is stored in your account. No one sees it but there is.

It is not automatically deleted after the 24 hours promised by Facebook and this happens under the guise of a feature called Story archive. If you do not want to have your Facebook stories forever, you will need to disable the feature from the social network.

How; Open the Facebook app on your mobile and you will see Stories at the top. You can browse through the available stories, but if you look at the top right of the slider, you'll see an option called 'Your Archive'.

Tap on it and you will see a screen containing a link to the Story File Settings. If you do not see the screen above, tap the gear on the top right of the image. You will see that there is only one setting, with the option "Save to file".

Disable it and Facebook will no longer store copies of your stories in your account.

Once you turn off the Facebook Stories feature, the screen will give you the option to turn it back on. Yes Facebook is giving you the chance to collect more again .

Η specific operation, seems to be superfluous for most but it is enabled by default.

Your story archive is visible only to you and of course to Facebook. Your friends can't see. The file is not saved to the so it doesn't take up space. But it is stored on the internet (on Facebook servers). So since only you can see it if you don't care you can disable the feature. Why should Facebook see it?
