Starting today, Duolingo is launching free Indian lessons languages (Hindi) in English language through its official website. The lessons are not yet available on iOS or Android apps, but are expected to come in the near future.
The Hindi, According to The Washington Post, is the third largest language worldwide, with nearly 600 million speakers as of 2015. India is one of Duolingo's top 10 markets globally, with 10,1 million domestic users, and so a Hindi course makes sense for the company. There are about 8,6 million Indians learning English through Duolingo. And additionally over 154.000 people have signed up to be notified when Hindi for English lessons are available.
Duolingo offers free parking English courses for the Greek language, but has a multitude of lessons learningof various languages for English learners.
