Canonical announced the first point release of the Ubuntu 18.04 LTS operating system (Bionic Beaver). The LTS version (from long-term support) will be backed up for five years with security updates and software.
Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS is the first of five planned point releases that Canonical plans to release for Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Bionic Beaver). The update includes all the latest security updates and latest software packages from 26 April 2018 onwards, the Ubuntu 18.04 LTS Release Date.
Unfortunately, 18.04.1 LTS does not come with an updated kernel.
The Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS version is available for download for all official flavors: Kubuntu, Lubuntu, Xubuntu, Ubuntu MATE, Ubuntu Budgie and Ubuntu Kylin. Note that the first poin release in version 18.04.1 LTS comes as a Desktop and Live Server version only for 64 bit systems, while all other flavors support 32 and 64 bit systems.
