The Russian security company Kaspersky μόλις κυκλοφόρησε μια νέα έκδοση του Kaspersky Security Cloud Free, μια δωρεάν εφαρμογή ασφάλειας για Windows που βασίζεται στο σύννεφο.
One question that may arise is that Security Cloud Free varies from Kaspersky's Free Antivirus, which 2016 was released in Russia and to world level 2017.
The app's name also reveals the basic difference between the two free security products. Kaspersky Security Cloud Free, also known as Adaptive Security, gives you remote management options that do not support Kaspersky Free Antivirus.
Kaspersky says Security Cloud comes with new tools and features that other security products don't have. Note that Kaspersky Security Cloud Free requires a (free) Kaspersky account, while Free Antivirus does not account.
This will ask you to log in to a Kaspersky account or create a new one when the application starts. You can not do anything until you log in to your account.
The program displays a number of functions. Besides the basic functionality of the program there are also some that do not work in the free version of the application.
Kaspersky recommends that you configure the backup and restore parameters that are one of the program features and also install the company's password management application and the extension for Internet Explorer.
Backup is basic but sufficient to back up your most important files. There are options for backing up four different file types and an option for selecting custom locations.
The four available file types are:
All files are in My Documents and on the desktop.
All photos
All movies and videos.
All music files.
The copies security files are stored somewhere else on your device or in the cloud storage provided by Kaspersky, and of course they are not free.
Antivirus works as you know. Kaspersky Security Cloud Free performs automatic scans regularly to detect any threats and remove them. You can make complete, fast and custom scans manually at any time. Of course you can schedule scans according to your preferences.
Password Manager and Secure Connection (Password Manager and Secure Connection) connections work but are limited. The app also displays other links for two additional features on the app's main screen but is not available on the free version. So if you choose Privacy Protection or Safe Money you will see upgrade prompts for the paid version.
